The test
Ask yourself three questions:
- Who gets paid a lot for this work today?
- What's the boring part of their day that an agent could absorb?
- Can I ship a first version in a week without a team?
If you have three yeses, you have a niche. If you have two, you have a hobby.
Exercise
Write three one-line pitches in the format: "We save [role] [time/money] by [action]." Most people's first pitch is too broad. Narrow it three times.
